Blakeney Red Band

English-style Country Dancing, Barn Dances, Ceilidhs and Concerts.
THE Family folk-band for Festivals, Functions and Events.

Blakeney Red Band have played in pubs, clubs, cafes, markets, festivals, on stage and off since 2004. The Band have appeared at venues from the Café Midi, Quiberon, Brittany to Tish Ned, Arran Islands off Co. Clare. Triumphs include Best New Entrants in the John Gasson Memorial Jig competition, Sidmouth, 2005, Exmoor Folk Festival, Saul Boat and Folk Festival 2006 and Worthy Farm, Glastonbury 2007

The band are:

Ben: woodwind, fiddle, keyboard
Mary: melodeon, fiddle
Ned: fiddle, guitar
Joe: bass, guitar
Polly: keyboard, percussion
Kester: drum kit, percussion
Roger: Caller

Blakeney Red Band run workshops, offering the chance to learn a new skill through informal, educational participation.

Learn through experience and participation in

Informal music-making (sessions) for leisure and music therapy
Singing
Circus skills

Blakeney Red Band members offer professional leadership in workshops for group events, teacher training days, festivals etc.
