Who are Mother’s Ruin?
We are mother’s Ruin from South Devon who play to entertain and have fun.  We’re an upbeat folk-rock and roots band, taking our inspiration from traditional and modern songs. An original treatment of a strong song is what we’re all about, and we’re equally well-received on a festival stage, in a folk club or pub setting, at a wedding, or playing for a charity or community event. Mother’s Ruin is made up of:  
         Julian Nietrzebka (accordion/lead vocals)  
         Rob Lamboll (mandolin/guitar/sound engineer)
         Lissie Durham (violin/keys/vocals)
         Chris Code (bass/banjo/uke/harmonica/vocals)  
         Martyn Hillstead (drums/bodhran/cahon/harmonica/vocals)

What do Mother’s Ruin play?
Our current repertoire includes songs by Dylan, Old Crow Medicine Show, Oyster Band, Great Big Sea, Bellowhead, Blowzabella, Steve Earle, Richard and Linda Thompson, Jez Lowe, Steeleyespan, Lindisfarne, Planxty, Ewan MacColl, Woody Guthrie, Show of Hands, Police Dog Hogan and our own compositions.
